As I ponder the recent news of Justice Samuel Alito flying the American flag upside-down at his home, I can’t help but feel a sense of disappointment and disbelief. The symbolism of an inverted flag is universally recognized as a distress signal, a call for help or an indication that something is terribly wrong. And for a Supreme Court justice to engage in such an act is not just deeply concerning, but also downright unpatriotic.

I am absolutely appalled by the recent statements made by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, suggesting that Presidents should be allowed to commit federal crimes without facing any consequences. This dangerous and reckless assertion goes against the very principles of democracy and the rule of law that our country is built upon. As citizens, we must be deeply concerned about the implications of such a stance on the future of our nation.

I cannot believe the level of absurdity and blatant disregard for justice that was displayed by Justice Samuel Alito during the Trump immunity hearing. His logic was beyond belief, and it’s terrifying to think that he is at the center of one of the darkest days in Supreme Court history. The fact that he and other conservative justices on the Court are maneuvering to protect Trump from facing consequences for his actions is a clear indication of the dire state of our judicial system.
