World Central Kitchen (WCK) has halted its operations in Gaza after seven of its workers were tragically killed in an Israeli airstrike. As someone who works in the humanitarian field and has colleagues in Gaza, this news hits close to home. These individuals were simply trying to provide aid and support to those in need, and their lives were senselessly taken in multiple attacks as they attempted to help each other and escape the violence.
It is unfathomable that such deliberate and targeted actions were taken against workers from an organization that does incredible work worldwide.
