As I sit here reflecting on the devastating news of Texas’ Smokehouse Creek Fire becoming the second-largest wildfire in U.S. history, my heart goes out to all those affected by this disaster. It is now the largest and most destructive fire in Texas history, with hundreds of structures and houses destroyed, and sadly, even the loss of human life reported.
