The recent news of J.D. Vance being booed by an entire crowd during a speech is not surprising at all. This man seems to have a talent for putting his foot in his mouth every time he opens it. The fact that he, an anti-union advocate, was speaking to a firefighters’ union speaks volumes in itself. Of course, there would be boos – he is simply out of touch with the audience he was addressing.

As a white working-class individual, the notion that Donald Trump has ever had my support is laughable. The idea that a billionaire real estate developer, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, who dodged the draft, could ever truly care about the working class is preposterous. Trump’s entire persona exudes privilege and self-interest, with no genuine concern for the struggles faced by everyday Americans.
