The altered image, which depicted Armstrong crying with the caption “Arrested far-left agitator,” was disseminated on social media, prompting Armstrong to share footage recorded by her husband. The video captured federal agents arresting Armstrong, who maintained a composed demeanor throughout the process and spoke of abuse of power. According to Levy Armstrong, the White House used AI to manipulate the image, claiming political persecution for speaking out against the Trump administration.
