Passenger Arrested for Attempted Flight Hijacking in Mexico
A 31-year-old Mexican man, identified only as Mario N, was arrested after attempting to hijack a Volaris domestic flight from León to Tijuana. The incident unfolded mid-flight, when Mario N allegedly assaulted a flight attendant and tried to breach the cockpit.
The plane, carrying Mario N, his wife, and children, was diverted to Guadalajara, a decision likely influenced by the gravity of the situation and the proximity of Guadalajara’s airport. Upon landing, Mexican National Guard officers promptly apprehended Mario N.
