Growing up in the rural Midwest, incidents like the recent one involving a teenager whose car suddenly sped up to 120 mph are not something you expect to happen in such quiet areas. The story of a car accelerating uncontrollably is something out of a nightmare, yet it became a reality for a teenager in the heart of the Midwest. As a driver myself, I can’t imagine the sheer panic and fear that must have gripped the young driver as he found himself hurtling down the road, unable to regain control of his vehicle.
