What a tragedy, what a heartbreak, what an avoidable loss of life. An 8-year-old boy, full of innocence and wonder, lost his life in the most senseless and preventable way possible. He shot himself in the head with a loaded gun left unattended in a car by his mother while she was inside a convenience store in Lehi, Utah. The news of this horrific incident shakes me to my core and fills me with a mix of deep sorrow and seething anger.
