Farmworker Dies During Ventura County ICE Raid, Sparking Outrage and Concerns
The United Farm Workers union announced a farmworker died from injuries sustained during an immigration raid near Camarillo on Thursday. Reports indicate some farmworkers were critically injured during the enforcement operation, and other workers, including U.S. citizens, remain unaccounted for. A family member of the deceased, identified as Jaime Garcia, stated he fell from a building while possibly fleeing federal agents and succumbed to injuries. The FBI is offering a reward related to the incident, while a GoFundMe has been created to assist with funeral expenses.
