I must admit, the news that Trump’s lawyers have rested their case in the hush money trial without calling him to testify did not come as a shock to me. Despite all the bluster and bravado, I never truly believed he would take the stand. The risk of perjury loomed large, and let’s face it, he isn’t exactly known for his honesty. His own past statements about speaking out and proclaiming innocence only add to the irony of the situation.
If Trump had testified, it would have been a spectacle to behold. The man who can’t seem to stop himself from talking would have been put in a position where he had to carefully choose his words.… Continue reading
