I must admit, the news that Trump’s lawyers have rested their case in the hush money trial without calling him to testify did not come as a shock to me. Despite all the bluster and bravado, I never truly believed he would take the stand. The risk of perjury loomed large, and let’s face it, he isn’t exactly known for his honesty.
