As a woman living in Texas, I am absolutely appalled by the recent call by Texas Republicans for the execution of women who receive abortions. The idea that my own state’s politicians are advocating for such extreme and inhumane measures against women simply for making personal healthcare decisions is beyond disturbing. It is a blatant violation of women’s rights and autonomy.
The fact that these Republican officials are not only pushing for the death penalty for women who have abortions but also for those who undergo IVF procedures is a chilling display of their misogynistic and oppressive views.
