Charlotte Brewery Owner Arrested, Accused of Child Rape
Justin Tawse Brigham, co-owner of Sycamore Brewing, was arrested early Thursday morning on felony charges including statutory rape of a child, first-degree burglary, and indecent liberties with a child. According to court documents, Brigham allegedly broke into a home in Stanfield and raped a 13-year-old girl. Sycamore Brewing, the largest brewery in Charlotte, responded by announcing Brigham’s divestiture from the company, with his wife taking full leadership. Multiple bars have since announced they will no longer carry Sycamore products.
