Norway Doubles F-16 Donation to Ukraine

Norway’s annual weapons export report reveals a plan to supply Ukraine with 14 F-16 fighter jets, exceeding previous public statements of six. The additional eight aircraft’s condition is unspecified, potentially ranging from fully operational to parts or training aids. Alongside the F-16s, 20 Dingo 2 armored vehicles and 2 NM189 engineering vehicles will also be transferred. While the delivery timeline for the extra F-16s is unknown, the entire consignment is slated for completion by the end of 2025.

Poland Bypasses Swiss Embargo, Sends 600,000 Sniper Rounds to Ukraine

In July 2023, Swiss P Defence delivered 645,000 rounds of sniper ammunition to a Polish company, which subsequently re-exported it to Ukraine. This action violated Switzerland’s arms embargo and neutrality policy, as the ammunition’s ultimate destination was not disclosed to Swiss authorities. The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has suspended further exports to the Polish company, and an investigation revealed that Swiss P Defence was unaware of the re-export to Ukraine. The ammunition’s use in Ukraine remains unconfirmed.
