This temporary stay allows a federal appeals court more time to consider the Trump administration’s request for an extended pause of the district court’s decision regarding Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) payments. The Trump administration sought emergency relief due to depleted contingency funds, stating that fulfilling the lower court’s order would necessitate diverting funds from critical Child Nutrition Programs.
