Reports indicate that the Russian submarine Novorossiysk, a Kilo-class vessel with nuclear capabilities, is experiencing a serious technical issue in the Mediterranean Sea. According to a Russian Telegram channel, damage to the fuel system has led to a fuel leak in the hold, creating an explosion risk and prompting fears of potential environmental hazards. The crew, lacking spare parts and skilled personnel, may resort to pumping fuel directly into the sea, mirroring the catastrophic Kursk submarine disaster in 2000.
