Stormy Weather Cancels National Mall Event
As stormy weather approaches, thousands attending the Great American State Fair and areas around the National Mall are being evacuated and directed to seek shelter in nearby federal buildings and museums. The National Mall is scheduled to reopen at 9:45 p.m., with President Trump’s remarks now set for 11 p.m. and fireworks to follow. Organizers emphasized guest safety is a top priority and that, “Rain or shine, the American people deserve a celebration worthy of our nation’s historic 250th birthday.”
