I find it truly disheartening to witness a Supreme Court justice, who is supposed to embody fairness and impartiality, caught in such a blatant lie. The recent reports of Justice Alito’s wife allegedly spitting at her neighbors’ car and engaging in a heated exchange, only to have the police dismantle their claims, reveal a troubling lack of integrity at the highest levels of our judicial system.
The fact that Justice Alito himself attempted to deflect blame onto his wife and provide a feeble excuse for their actions speaks volumes about his character. When I think of the Supreme Court, I used to think of a beacon of justice, a pillar of moral authority that stood above the fray of partisan politics.
