In Gaza, starving children fill hospital wards as famine looms. The images of innocent children suffering from malnutrition and starvation in a world plagued by religious fanaticism and greed are truly gut-wrenching. As a parent of a child with cystic fibrosis, I can only imagine the pain and helplessness that the families of these children must be feeling. It hits even harder knowing that these kids have serious medical conditions that require specialized care and nourishment, which are simply not available in the Palestinian enclave.
