As an 89-year-old stand-up comedian, I never thought I would become a victim of violence in such a brutal manner. Being sucker-punched in West Village was a terrifying experience that made me fear for my safety and well-being. The thought of losing my eye due to such a senseless act of aggression is not something I ever imagined I would have to face at this stage in my life.

Bob Newhart, a legendary comedian, has passed away at the age of 94. This news has hit me hard, as he was truly one of the greats in the world of comedy. His ability to deliver deadpan humor with impeccable timing was truly unmatched. I find myself reminiscing about the countless times I laughed out loud while watching him on TV with my family. His unique style and clever wit always managed to bring a smile to my face, even on the darkest of days.
