When I first heard about the groom being shot in the head by a masked gunman during his backyard St. Louis wedding, I couldn’t believe such horror could unfold on what should have been a joyous occasion. It’s chilling to think that someone had such malevolent intentions to disrupt a celebration of love in such a violent manner. The fact that the attack occurred during the wedding reception, not the ceremony itself, adds an even more sinister layer to the tragedy.

I can’t shake the feeling of utter horror and disgust after seeing the video of the brutal attack on a teenage girl near a high school in St. Louis. The level of violence, the lack of humanity displayed by the attacker, slamming the victim’s head repeatedly on the concrete while she lay defenseless, is beyond comprehension. It wasn’t a fight, it was a savage act of attempted murder. The chilling sounds of the video still haunt me, and I can’t imagine the pain and suffering that poor girl and her family are going through.

I can’t wrap my head around the brutality and senselessness of the events that recently unfolded near a St. Louis school, where a 15-year-old was arrested after a brutal fight led to a severe head injury for another teenager. The video footage capturing the attack is nothing short of sickening, showcasing the alleged suspect repeatedly slamming the victim’s head against the concrete with seemingly no regard for the consequences. The victim, left shaking on the ground in critical condition, is now fighting for her life.
