When I first read about the Maryland teenager accused of planning a school shooting in a 129-page document, my initial reaction was a mix of shock and relief. Shock, because the sheer extent of detailing such horrific plans in a document of that length is mind-boggling. And relief, because someone had the courage to speak up and alert the authorities before it could turn into a tragic reality.
