Nielsen emphasized Greenland’s openness to dialogue and cooperation with the U.S., but urged direct communication rather than “random outbursts on social media.” This exchange occurred amidst ongoing diplomatic talks between Greenland, Denmark, and the U.S. aimed at resolving tensions over President Trump’s repeated assertions of wanting to acquire Greenland. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also defended her country’s healthcare system, highlighting its free and equal access for all.
