Louisville Airport Plane Crash: Shelter in Place Issued After UPS Cargo Plane Incident

Emergency responders are currently on the scene of a plane crash at Louisville Muhammad Ali Airport. The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. involving UPS Flight 2976, a McDonnell Douglas MD-11, which was en route to Honolulu. Grade Lane will be closed indefinitely between Stooges and Crittenden, and a Shelter-In-Place order has been issued within a five-mile radius of the airport, extending north to the Ohio River. The FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause of the crash, with the NTSB taking the lead.

Minnesota Lawmakers Shot in Apparent Targeted Attacks

Minnesota Senator John Hoffman and Representative Melissa Hortman, along with their spouses, were shot at their homes in separate attacks by a suspect impersonating a police officer.
