As I delved into the shocking case of a US woman charged with concealing bleach in her husband’s coffee, my initial reaction was one of disbelief. How could someone commit such a heinous act and then manage to avoid jail time? The video evidence of her pouring bleach into his coffee should have been enough to warrant a harsher punishment, in my opinion. It’s mind-boggling that the husband, despite being the victim, didn’t want her to go to jail. This kind of forgiveness or leniency is difficult for me to comprehend.
