“Truly dystopian”: Experts worry Trump’s school vaccine plan will spark “public health catastrophe”
As I read about Trump’s school vaccine plan potentially leading to a “public health catastrophe,” I can’t help but feel a sense of overwhelming dread. The thought of innocent children being put at risk of preventable diseases all for the sake of political gain is truly dystopian. The idea that federal funds could be stripped from public schools for requiring vaccines that have been proven to save lives is not just absurd, but it’s downright dangerous.
It’s mind-boggling to think that decisions regarding public health are being made by individuals with zero medical training.
