These attacks, detailed by Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), have resulted in the destruction of dozens of locomotives across various regions, slowing down Russian logistics and disrupting the flow of resources to the front lines. The movement claims to have completely destroyed the control and power systems of the targeted trains. This has led to delays in vital shipments and reduced the intensity of Russian strikes. This combined with Western sanctions on parts and components has reduced freight capacity and locomotive availability.
