Fear, Not Hate: Why Right-Wing Voters Embrace Populist Rhetoric

The allure of figures like Baudet, AfD, and Salvini lies in their ability to exploit the very real anxieties and insecurities of certain segments of society. Their followers, often those with limited resources and education, feel a sense of desperation amidst economic instability and social change. They are easily manipulated by the narrative of “the other,” the migrant, the LGBTQ+ individual, the “undeserving” recipient of government aid, who is presented as the enemy stealing their hard-earned privileges and leaving them behind.

Trump caught lying again — ‘I know nothing about Project 2025′ — and there are receipts

The recent uproar over Trump denying any knowledge of Project 2025 is a familiar tune that we have heard over and over again. The receipts are there, showing connections between Trump and the very project he claims to know nothing about. It’s astonishing how easily he can lie, contradict himself, and still expect the American people to believe him.

When I think back to Trump’s presidency, the sheer number of falsehoods he spewed on a daily basis is mind-boggling.
