This measure, which requires Senate approval, aims to provide relief to drivers facing high fuel prices, exacerbated by recent geopolitical events. While E15 is generally cheaper than E10 and produced with the intent to reduce greenhouse gases, concerns remain regarding increased smog-forming emissions during warmer months. Despite its potential cost savings, E15 contains less energy than gasoline, potentially leading to slightly reduced fuel economy.
