Cal Fire Captain Found Stabbed to Death; Motive Under Investigation
Cal Fire Captain Rebecca Marodi, a 30-year veteran, was found stabbed to death at her Ramona home on February 17, 2025. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating, currently without a suspect but treating the case as a potential domestic violence incident. Marodi, 49, served in various locations throughout her career and was known for her dedication and mentorship within Cal Fire.
