Children ‘piled up and shot’: new details emerge of ethnic cleansing in Darfur. As I read these harrowing details of innocent children being massacred by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Darfur, my heart feels heavy with grief and rage. It is sickening to think that such atrocities are still happening in our world today, where children are not given a chance to live, to grow, and to thrive. The fact that these heinous acts are part of a larger campaign of ethnic cleansing against the non-Arab Masalit tribe in West Darfur is utterly despicable.
