As I sit down to reflect on the recent news of two juveniles charged in a mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade, I can’t help but feel a whirlwind of emotions. The news release stating that the juveniles are being detained on gun-related charges, along with the mention of resisting arrest charges, leaves me with a sinking feeling in my stomach. These young individuals, who should have been focused on building bright futures for themselves, are now facing the harsh reality of the consequences of their actions.
