Every time I hear stories of hostages being subjected to psychological abuse, my heart breaks a little more. The recent account of a rescued hostage detailing eight months of captivity under Hamas is truly gut-wrenching. The chilling words, “Good morning, Wesley. I’ll probably kill you tomorrow,” echo in my mind, painting a grim picture of the horrors these individuals faced. The mere thought of being held captive for such an extended period, enduring constant threats and psychological torture, is unimaginable.
