House Ethics Report: Gaetz Paid for Sex, Drugs, and Sex with a Minor

The House Ethics Committee released a report detailing substantial evidence that former Rep. Matt Gaetz violated House rules and state laws, including potential statutory rape, by paying for sex with multiple women, at least one of whom was 17 years old. The report cites numerous payments made via online platforms and details a Bahamas trip where Gaetz engaged in sexual activity with multiple women, violating House gift rules. Despite Gaetz’s denials and unsuccessful legal attempt to block its release, the committee concluded its investigation found evidence of prostitution, illicit drug use, and obstruction of Congress. The report includes financial records and witness testimonies supporting these findings.

Lewisville Police Officers Disciplined for Misconduct in Prostitution Busts

The Denton County DA has rejected 23 criminal cases against alleged prostitutes presented by the Lewisville PD due to concerns about inappropriate conduct by the police officers involved. The cases, part of an undercover operation targeting local massage parlours, were undermined when it was discovered the police officers had made inappropriate physical contact with the suspects. An internal review led to 13 officers being disciplined, with three fired, one demoted, and seven suspended without pay. The cases reviewed took place over a two-year period, from 2022 to 2024, and led to the police department having to return two seized vehicles and $247,807 in seized cash. Despite the internal action taken, no officers are currently facing criminal charges.

Woman admits to running US brothel network that catered to politicians, execs

As news broke about a woman admitting to running a US brothel network that catered to politicians and executives, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of déjà vu. It seems like every decade, a scandal like this comes to light, revealing the seedy underbelly of the elite and powerful. The comments section is awash with calls to legalize prostitution, taking inspiration from the late, great George Carlin’s iconic quote: “Selling is legal, fucking is legal. Why isn’t selling fucking legal?”

But beyond the calls for legalization, the real issue lies in the unequal treatment of those involved. The woman behind the operation faces the prospect of 25 years in prison, while the high-profile clients who frequented her services remain shielded from public scrutiny.… Continue reading

Comic-Con San Diego human trafficking sting: 10 victims recovered, 14 arrests made

I used to love attending Comic-Con San Diego, but the recent news of a human trafficking sting operation at the event has left me feeling disturbed and uneasy. The idea that such a beloved and inclusive event could be targeted by sex traffickers is deeply troubling. With over 100,000 attendees each year, it’s upsetting to think that some individuals would exploit such a gathering for their own nefarious purposes.

During the three-day operation, law enforcement officers worked tirelessly to identify and apprehend individuals involved in sex trafficking activities. As a result, 14 arrests were made, and 10 victims were recovered. While I applaud the efforts to disrupt trafficking networks and provide support to those in need, I can’t help but wonder about the effectiveness of these operations.… Continue reading

HIV positive prostitute had sex with 211 men after learning she’d been infected, cops say

As the news of the HIV positive prostitute who had sex with 211 men after learning she had been infected spreads like wildfire, I find myself grappling with a mix of conflicting emotions and thoughts. On the one hand, it is impossible to overlook the irresponsible and potentially malicious actions of this woman. Engaging in condomless sex with numerous individuals while being aware of her HIV positive status is undoubtedly a dangerous and harmful decision to make. The implications of her actions are far-reaching and undeniably alarming.

However, I cannot overlook the fact that she allegedly helped more than 200 blind people “get laid,” as some might crudely put it.… Continue reading
