Trump floats idea of three-term presidency at NRA convention

As I sit down to contemplate the recent news coming out of the NRA convention, where former President Donald Trump once again took center stage to float the idea of a three-term presidency, my mind is filled with a mixture of disbelief and sheer frustration. The notion of extending one’s stay in the highest office in the land beyond the traditional two terms is not only unprecedented but also deeply concerning.

‘Trump in 2028’: GOP-aligned organization calls for abolition of presidential term limits

I have been following the recent uproar over the GOP-aligned organization’s call for the abolition of presidential term limits, potentially paving the way for a potential ‘Trump in 2028’ scenario. The idea of a president serving more than two terms goes against the core principles of democracy that our country was built upon. The thought of Trump potentially being in office for an extended period is certainly unsettling to many, considering his controversial and divisive reign during his first term.
