The home of South Korea’s impeached president has been transformed into a veritable fortress, a scene reminiscent of a medieval siege more than a modern arrest attempt. Layers of barbed wire, vehicle blockades, and hundreds of loyal supporters have effectively turned the compound into an impenetrable stronghold as authorities prepare for a second attempt at apprehending the former leader.
