It’s no surprise that Trump is once again caught in the act of hypocrisy. Throughout his presidency, he tirelessly advocated for the imprisonment of other presidents, conveniently disregarding the principles of fairness and justice. It’s the classic case of “rules for thee, not for me.” But what is truly concerning is the underlying authoritarian impulse that these actions reveal.
Trump’s blatant disregard for the law and his insidious desire to have laws that punish others while ensuring his own freedom reflect a dangerous ambition for unchecked power.
