As I read about the recent incident involving a British tourist caught carving initials into a 2,000-year-old home at Pompeii, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of anger and disappointment. The sheer audacity and disrespect displayed by this individual is truly mind-boggling. To think that someone would deface such an incredibly significant historical landmark for the sake of leaving a personal mark is beyond comprehension.
