As a liberal, it is both infuriating and disheartening to hear Donald Trump claim that liberals wanted him to overturn Roe v. Wade. Let’s set the record straight – this is a blatant lie. The reality is that a vast majority of Americans, regardless of political affiliation, support a woman’s right to choose. Poll after poll has shown that around 70% of Americans believe in upholding Roe v. Wade. So, for Trump to assert that “everybody wanted this to be done” is not only false but also a dangerous attempt to manipulate the narrative.
