Age and criminal history are two significant factors to consider when evaluating a potential leader for our country. When we look at the current situation with Joe Biden and Donald Trump, it’s evident that the choice isn’t easy. We have Biden, who is 81 years old, but has a clean record and has demonstrated a commitment to the country and its people. On the other hand, we have Trump, who is almost 78 and has a staggering 91 felony counts against him, not to mention his divisive rhetoric and behavior during his time in office.

As an observer of the political landscape, something that has always concerned me about former President Donald Trump is his undeniable degradation in physical and mental health over the years. This was evident during his presidency and, if anything, it has only gotten worse since then. The recent viral video of Trump slurring his words during a rally indeed raises many questions about his wellbeing and his capacity to fulfill any future leadership roles.

Donald Trump biographer says former president is in cognitive decline

Biographical critiques of public figures are not uncommon, especially in the world of politics. Much less common, however, is commentary on the mental health or cognitive function of a public figure. For the privilege of such reporting, we usually need the perspective of a trusted medical professional. But when Donald Trump’s own biographer, Tim O’Brien, expresses concern about the former president’s cognitive decline, it’s worth taking notice.
