Trump Administration to Refund Tariffs to Companies, Not Consumers

The Trump administration’s decision to begin refunding $166 billion in tariffs signals a significant financial shift, but for many, it’s far from a cause for celebration. The core of the issue lies in who is eligible to receive these refunds and, crucially, who is not.

It appears that only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are in line to recover that money. This immediately excludes a vast swathe of individuals and businesses who were indirectly impacted by these policies.
