Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s recent call for a “national divorce” between red and blue states amid the Texas border standoff over migration has attracted attention and sparked controversy. As a concerned citizen, I find it alarming that a sitting Congresswoman would openly advocate for a civil war, and even more concerning that she retains her seat despite such statements.
While Greene may believe that such a separation would be a solution for conservatives, the reality is that it would only lead to further division and strife.
