House Speaker Says Congress Can Wait for Helene Damage Needs

As I read the recent comments from House Speaker Johnson regarding the response to the damages caused by Hurricane Helene, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of disappointment and frustration. The lack of urgency and compassion displayed by some of our elected officials is truly disheartening. Speaker Johnson’s dismissive attitude towards the immediate needs of those affected by the hurricane reflects a troubling trend in our political landscape.

It’s concerning to see that partisan politics seem to take precedence over the well-being of American citizens in times of crisis.
