BBC presenter kicked off Turkey flight over daughter’s allergy
As a parent, I understand the desire to protect your child at all costs. However, when it comes to severe allergies, there needs to be a balance between personal responsibility and understanding the limitations of others. In the case of the BBC presenter being kicked off a Turkey flight over his daughter’s allergy, it seems that the situation escalated unnecessarily.
The airline made a valid point in stating that they cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. It’s a closed space, people might eat peanuts anyway, and the risks involved are not something to be taken lightly. Asking for an entire plane of passengers to abstain from consuming peanuts is a tall order, especially when many airlines have moved away from serving them precisely due to these concerns.… Continue reading
