As a parent, I understand the desire to protect your child at all costs. However, when it comes to severe allergies, there needs to be a balance between personal responsibility and understanding the limitations of others. In the case of the BBC presenter being kicked off a Turkey flight over his daughter’s allergy, it seems that the situation escalated unnecessarily.

The airline made a valid point in stating that they cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. It’s a closed space, people might eat peanuts anyway, and the risks involved are not something to be taken lightly.
