I can’t help but feel a sense of déjà vu as the news breaks that Sweden has confirmed a case of mpox, the first reported infection of this strain outside of Africa. It seems like we’re living through a never-ending cycle of pandemics and health crises. Each time we think we’re out of the woods, another threat emerges, making it hard to catch a break. The more contagious and virulent nature of this new strain is definitely cause for concern, and it’s crucial that we take the necessary precautions to prevent further spread.
