I vividly remember the day when the Hells Angels had a shootout with another biker gang near Buck Owens Crystal Palace in Bakersfield. It seems like a typical day in the area, filled with violence and criminal activities. The recent arrest of the entire Bakersfield chapter of the Hells Angels doesn’t come as a surprise. The fact that only seven members were arrested raises questions about the size and structure of the chapter. It appears to be a small group for such a notorious motorcycle gang.

It is disheartening to hear that Ms. Sánchez was threatened by men linked to organised crime who demanded she hand over the town’s security to state police officers on the cartel’s payroll. Her refusal to comply with their demands and her request for military reinforcement showcase her bravery and commitment to serving her town despite the dangers that loom large.
