I can’t wrap my head around the fact that a fugitive father was filmed with his children in the New Zealand wilderness three years after disappearing. Three years in the bush with three small children is unimaginable. The New Zealand bush is a wild and unpredictable place, with weather that can change in an instant. I can only imagine the hardships they faced – freezing cold winters, constant rain, crazy hills and valleys to navigate. It’s a miracle they survived for so long out there.

Being missing for 10 days in the California mountains sounds like a terrifying ordeal, especially for a person who is legally blind.
