Putin’s reaction to the recent Moscow shooting is both predictable and alarming. Despite ISIS claiming responsibility for the attack, Putin immediately sought to blame Ukraine. The narrative being spun is absurd, with claims that the getaway car was heading southbound towards Ukraine, hence Ukraine must be responsible. It feels like a far-fetched attempt to deflect attention and create a convenient scapegoat to suit his political agenda.
