Former Mayor Sentenced to 90 Days for Raping Teenager
Misty Roberts, a former mayor of DeRidder, Louisiana, has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for statutory rape and indecent behavior with a juvenile. She was convicted earlier this year of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy at her home in July 2024. In addition to jail time, Roberts must register as a sex offender, pay $5,000 in fines, and undergo therapy and drug screenings post-release.
