Congress Cedes Power as US Approves $8.6 Billion Middle East Arms Sales

The announcements follow nine weeks of conflict involving the US and Israel against Iran, with the State Department citing urgent needs for these weapons systems. Despite scrutiny over human rights records in some of the recipient nations, Washington has maintained its support for these allies.
